About the role
As an Early Years SEND TA, you will play an important role in supporting a child with additional needs throughout their day. You will work closely with the teaching and early years team to provide tailored support and help the child engage with learning, play and everyday routines.
No two days will be the same. You could be supporting communication and language, helping with social interaction, encouraging independence or adapting activities to make sure the child can fully participate.
You will build a positive and trusting relationship with the child, get to know their individual needs and help them feel confident, included and able to take part in nursery life.
You will also work closely with colleagues and other professionals to support the child's development and ensure their individual needs are understood and met.
What we are looking for
We are looking for someone who has previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting and has a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
You will be caring, patient and understanding, with the ability to build strong relationships with children and work effectively as part of a wider team.
Experience supporting children with SEND is desirable, but we are also keen to hear from experienced nursery practitioners and early years professionals who are passionate about developing their skills within SEND.
Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is nurturing, adaptable and committed to helping children feel confident, included and able to reach their potential.
