Early Years Teaching Assistant

Location: Brentwood, Essex
Pay: £95–£100 per day PAYE
Contract: Full-time, term-time only
Start Date: September 2026

Parker Smith Inclusion is working with a primary school in Brentwood looking for a caring and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their team.

About the Role

You'll work alongside the class teacher, supporting young children with their learning, development and day-to-day classroom routines.

Your role will include:

• Supporting children during classroom activities and early learning.

• Helping children develop their communication and social skills.

• Encouraging independence, confidence and curiosity.

• Helping children settle into routines and feel comfortable in the classroom.

• Providing additional support to children who need it.

• Supporting observations and assessments in line with the EYFS framework.

• Building positive relationships with children and working closely with the wider team.

About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys working with young children and understands how important those early experiences can be.

Ideally, you'll have:

• Experience working with Early Years children.

• A good understanding of the EYFS framework.

• A patient, caring and approachable nature.

• The ability to build positive relationships with children.

• A reliable attitude and the ability to work as part of a team.

• A willingness to get involved and support wherever needed.

You don't need years of experience, but you do need to be someone who genuinely enjoys helping young children learn, grow and develop.
