Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and enhance the English curriculum across all key stages

  • Drive whole-school literacy initiatives and support communication development across subjects

  • Apply creative, multi-sensory and adaptive teaching methods to maximise engagement

  • Promote a positive, inclusive and supportive learning culture focused on holistic development

Requirements

  • QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

  • Strong subject knowledge in English

  • Experience within SEN, SEMH, primary, secondary or inclusive settings, or a commitment to developing this

  • Confidence in adapting learning for a wide range of individual needs

  • Ability to lead, inspire and support staff across the school

  • Strong communication, teamwork and organisational skills

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting positive outcomes for pupils
