Executive Assistant to the Co-Founder

Full-Time | Temp2Perm |  Tower Hamlets

Are you an exceptional Executive Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced, creative and ambitious environment?

We are working with an innovative and forward-thinking creative college that is transforming education through creativity, enterprise and industry partnerships. As the organisation continues to grow, they are looking for an outstanding Executive Assistant to provide high-level strategic and operational support to the Co-Founder.

This is far more than a traditional diary management role. You'll become a trusted partner, helping the Co-Founder maximise their impact by ensuring priorities are delivered, decisions are informed, and the organisation operates efficiently.

This opportunity would suit someone who is proactive, commercially aware, highly organised and confident working with senior leaders, governors, external partners and stakeholders.

The Role

As Executive Assistant to the Co-Founder, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of executive priorities while acting as a key point of contact across the organisation.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing an ever-changing executive diary, meetings, travel and priorities.
  • Drafting high-quality correspondence, presentations, reports and executive communications requiring minimal amendments.
  • Preparing Board papers, governance documentation, meeting packs and executive reports to an exceptional standard.
  • Supporting the review and preparation of employment, consultancy and commercial contracts, identifying potential risks and escalating where appropriate.
  • Acting on behalf of the Co-Founder when liaising with senior stakeholders, maintaining professionalism, diplomacy and complete confidentiality.
  • Coordinating projects across multiple departments, ensuring actions are completed on time and to a consistently high standard.
  • Monitoring key organisational priorities, following up with colleagues and holding teams accountable for agreed actions.
  • Supporting strategic planning, operational improvements and executive decision-making through research and analysis.
  • Managing confidential information with absolute discretion and sound judgement.
  • Using Microsoft 365 and AI technologies to improve productivity, streamline processes and enhance the quality of executive outputs.

We're Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has significant experience supporting a CEO, Founder, Executive Principal or Senior Executive.

  • Demonstrates exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Can confidently draft professional correspondence, reports, presentations and formal documentation.
  • Has experience reviewing employment, consultancy or commercial contracts and understands when to escalate potential risks.
  • Is highly organised with exceptional time management and the ability to juggle multiple competing priorities.
  • Takes ownership of work from start to finish without requiring continual supervision.
  • Anticipates challenges before they arise and proactively finds practical solutions.
  • Can influence and coordinate colleagues across an organisation to ensure projects are delivered successfully.
  • Has strong commercial awareness and enjoys supporting strategic decision-making.
  • Has experience preparing Board-level documentation and governance papers.
  • Possesses outstanding attention to detail and excellent judgement.
  • Maintains complete discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Is highly proficient in Microsoft 365 and embraces AI tools to improve efficiency and productivity.

What You'll Bring

  • A calm and professional approach under pressure.
  • Exceptional organisational and planning skills.
  • Outstanding relationship-building abilities.
  • Confidence communicating with senior leaders, governors and external stakeholders.
  • A solutions-focused mindset with a positive, proactive attitude.
  • The ability to work independently while managing multiple high-level priorities.
  • A genuine passion for supporting ambitious leadership within an innovative education environment.

Why Join?

This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside an inspirational founder within a creative organisation that is redefining education.

You'll become a valued member of the senior leadership support team, contributing to strategic projects and helping shape the future of an ambitious and growing organisation.

If you're an experienced Executive Assistant looking for a role where you can genuinely make an impact, interviews will be happening during August with a proposed start date for September.
