EYFS 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Early Years Support

Camden, North London | £95–£110 per day | Full-time

For some young children, starting school comes with extra challenges around communication, routines, interaction or emotional regulation.

A consistent 1:1 adult can make that experience feel far more manageable.

Parker Smith Inclusion is recruiting an EYFS 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child with additional needs within a school in Camden.

You will work closely with the class teacher and SEND team to help the child access learning, play and everyday routines while building confidence and independence.

Your role

You may be supporting with:

• Communication and interaction

• Learning through play

• Attention and engagement

• Social development

• Transitions between activities

• Emotional regulation

• Early independence skills

• Following routines

• Accessing group activities

• Building confidence around peers and adults

What are we looking for?

We would particularly like to hear from candidates with experience in:

• EYFS

• Nurseries

• 1:1 support

• SEND

• Autism

• Speech and language needs

• Early childhood development

• Learning support

Essential qualities

You will need to be:

• Patient

• Warm and approachable

• Observant

• Consistent

• Comfortable adapting your communication

• Confident supporting a young child individually

• Available full-time

Why this role?

At this age, progress can happen in very small but important steps.

It may be joining a group activity for longer, communicating a need more clearly, managing a transition with less support or becoming more confident playing alongside other children.

You will be part of helping those early building blocks fall into place.

£95–£110 per day, depending on experience.
