About the School

This warm and community-focused primary school in Havering provides a nurturing and creative Early Years environment where children are encouraged to flourish. The Reception team is experienced, supportive, and passionate about child development.

The school is seeking a caring and skilled EYFS Learning Support Assistant to support children who need additional help to settle, engage, and access early learning activities.

What You Will Do

Support pupils in Reception with early learning, communication, and social development
Create a safe, encouraging, and stimulating environment for young children
Assist with group activities, free-flow play, phonics, early writing, and early numeracy
Work closely with the class teacher, EYFS lead, and SENCO to support personalised learning
Help children develop independence, confidence, and positive early relationships

Who You Are

Experienced in EYFS, either in a school, nursery, or early years setting
Warm, nurturing, patient, and able to get the very best out of young children
Knowledgeable about EYFS practice, child-led learning, and early communication strategies
Creative, enthusiastic, and able to work as part of a collaborative and supportive team
Committed to helping each child feel safe, valued, and ready to learn
