EYFS Learning Support Assistant Reception

About the School
This welcoming, community focused primary school in Havering offers a calm, nurturing Early Years environment where children are supported to grow at their own pace. The Reception team is experienced, collaborative, and deeply committed to early development.
They are now looking for an EYFS Learning Support Assistant to work closely with children who need additional help to settle, engage, and access early learning.
Your Role
You will support children in Reception with early learning, communication, and social development, helping them feel safe, confident, and ready to learn. Your day will include a mix of structured support and play based learning, always responding to the individual needs of each child.
This is a hands on role suited to someone who understands how young children learn best through relationships, consistency, and encouragement.
What You Will Do

Support pupils with early learning communication and social development

Create a safe encouraging and stimulating environment

Assist with group activities free flow play phonics early writing and early numeracy

Work closely with the class teacher EYFS lead and SENCO to support personalised learning

Encourage independence confidence and positive early relationships

Experience in EYFS within a school nursery or early years setting
