Early Years Teaching Assistant
Havering | Full Time | September 2026
We are looking for an Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive setting in Havering from September 2026.
This role would suit someone with EYFS experience who enjoys working with young children and wants to be part of a team that takes pride in creating a positive and engaging environment for them.
The role
You will work alongside the teaching team to support children throughout the day, helping them to learn, play and develop their independence.
You will be involved in a range of activities and will support children with their communication, social skills and early learning. You will also help the team with observations and assessment in line with the EYFS framework.
A big part of the role will be getting to know the children well, understanding their individual needs and helping them feel comfortable, confident and ready to learn.
About you
We are looking for someone with relevant Early Years experience who is:
- Caring, patient and approachable
- Confident working with young children
- Able to build good relationships with children and staff
- Reliable and willing to work as part of a team
- Interested in supporting children's learning and development
- Familiar with the EYFS framework
You don't need to be the loudest person in the room. We are looking for someone who is attentive, dependable and genuinely enjoys working with children.

You will be joining a welcoming and supportive team who work closely together and care about providing children with a good start to their education.
