Early Years Teaching Assistant

Location: Brentwood, Essex
Pay: £95–£100 per day PAYE
Contract: Full-time, term-time only

Parker Smith Inclusion is looking for an Early Years Teaching Assistant to support young children in a primary school in Brentwood.

If you enjoy working with young children, encouraging their development and helping them build confidence, this could be a great opportunity.

About the role

You'll work alongside the class teacher to create a welcoming environment where children feel safe, included and encouraged to learn.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting learning through play and classroom activities.

• Helping children develop speech, language and social skills.

• Encouraging independence, confidence and curiosity.

• Supporting daily routines and helping children settle into school.

• Providing additional support to children who need it.

• Contributing to observations and assessments in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

• Building positive relationships with children, teachers and colleagues.

Every child develops at their own pace, so patience, encouragement and a flexible approach are important.

Who would suit this role?

Experience working with young children would be beneficial, along with an understanding of the EYFS framework. However, we're interested in people who have the right attitude as well as relevant experience.

You should be caring, reliable and approachable, with the ability to build positive relationships with young children and support their learning through play.

You'll also need to work well as part of a team, get involved in classroom activities and enjoy helping children reach their next milestones.
