English & RSHE Teacher - Special Needs College - Permanent September 2026

Are you a Teacher that has a creative passion to encourage independence to young adults with SEND? 

Do you have the ability to teach English & RSHE to functional skill learners as well as Level 1 - 3? 

Parker Smith Inclusion is supporting a specialist college with their recruitment for an English & RSHE Teacher starting from September, the college focuses on supporting learners with autism but are independent and learning up to Level 3 Qualification. 

You'll be working in an environment that is dedicated to delivering inclusive, vocational education to empower learners aged 16-25 using a creative, unique approach with lessons focusing on Design, Digital, Business, Creative Media and Employability skills. The focus is on building confidence, independence, practical skills and helping the learners to achieve recognised qualifications for adult-life and connect them with real-world opportunities and meaningful futures. 

English Specific Duties; 

Curriculum Delivery - Teach Language and literature, focusing on reading, writing and critical thinking - ability to break down the subject and modify to the students needs. 

Literacy Development - Expand vocabulary, grammar knowledge and communication skills to prepare for employability. 

Assessment & Feedback - provide constructive feedback, track learning and accommodate when required. 

Fostering Engagement - Promote lifelong love of reading and literature by providing an inspiring classroom environment. 

RSHE Specific Duties;

Personal Development - Education students on healthy relationships emotional wellbeing, resilience, and citizenship. 

Life Skills - Economic wellbeing, careers, employability and understanding of personal boundaries to help them make informed decisions. 

Safe Learning Environment - provide an environment that can facilitate sensitive and challenging topics within a nurturing, trauma-informed approach.
