We are working with a Pupil Referral Unit in Central London that supports students who have been unable to thrive in mainstream education due to a range of social, emotional, behavioural, and personal challenges. The provision offers a nurturing, structured environment where students can rebuild confidence, re-engage with learning, and work towards meaningful qualifications.
The school is seeking a dedicated Food Technology Teacher to deliver engaging, practical, and academic lessons up to GCSE level from September 2025.
About the role
You will be responsible for delivering Food Technology lessons that balance practical skills with theory, supporting students with diverse needs and varied educational experiences. You will adapt your teaching to meet individual abilities, motivate learners who may feel disengaged from education, and prepare students for GCSE assessments. The successful candidate will contribute to creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity, confidence, and a renewed enthusiasm for learning.
The ideal candidate will
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have experience teaching Food Technology up to GCSE level.
- Unqualified Teacher with proven experience
- Be passionate about hands-on, practical learning.
- Have the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of vulnerable or disengaged learners.
- Demonstrate strong behaviour management and communication skills.
- Be committed to helping every student reach their full potential.
