Are you a passionate Food Technology Teacher who believes in second chances and the power of education to change lives?
We’re working with a Pupil Referral Unit in Hackney that supports young people who have struggled in mainstream education due to social, emotional, or behavioural challenges. The school provides a nurturing and structured environment where students can re-engage with learning, rebuild their confidence, and achieve meaningful qualifications.

The Role
- Deliver engaging, practical, and theory-based lessons up to GCSE level.
- Motivate and inspire learners who may have previously disengaged from education.
- Adapt teaching to meet the individual needs and abilities of each student.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom where students feel empowered to succeed.
- Collaborate with staff, families, and external professionals to support both academic and personal growth.
Requirements:
- A qualified teacher (QTS) with experience teaching Food Technology up to GCSE.
- Skilled at delivering hands-on, practical learning experiences that build real-world skills.
- Patient, resilient, and passionate about helping students with SEMH needs reach their potential.
- Confident in behaviour management, with strong communication and relationship-building skills.
