Food Technology Teacher
Location: Barnet, North London
A specialist school in Barnet is seeking a dedicated Food Technology Teacher who wants to do more than deliver a syllabus.
This role focuses on practical learning, independence, and confidence-building. You will work with small classes in a supportive environment where progress is measured in life skills as well as academic outcomes.

The Role
You will:
- Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons tailored to individual needs
- Use cooking and food preparation to develop independence and confidence
- Maintain a safe, organised, and well-resourced learning environment
- Track progress and contribute to personalised learning outcomes
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and wider professionals
The Person
You will:
- Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Have experience teaching Food Technology (SEN experience desirable, not essential)
- Be patient, adaptable, and confident in managing behaviour
- Be committed to safeguarding and inclusive education
