Are you a Geography or Humanities Teacher who’s passionate about inclusion and ready to make a real impact on the lives of young people with SEMH needs?
We’re working with a supportive SEMH secondary school in Barnet that is looking to appoint a committed Geography & Humanities Teacher to join their team.
The School:
This specialist secondary setting supports students with SEMH needs in a structured, therapeutic environment. With small class sizes, strong pastoral support, and experienced leadership, staff are genuinely supported to succeed.
The Role:

Teach Geography and Humanities across KS3 and KS4

Plan and deliver adapted, engaging lessons aligned to EHCPs

Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies

Build strong, trusting relationships with students

Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and leadership
Who We’re Looking For:

QTS preferred (strong unqualified teachers with SEMH/SEND experience considered)

Experience working with SEMH or SEND learners, or a strong desire to move into this setting

Knowledge of trauma-informed practice and inclusive teaching
-
Calm, resilient, and empathetic teaching approach
