Are you a recent graduate looking to gain valuable experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs before pursuing a career in teaching, educational psychology, speech and language therapy, or a related field?
We are seeking a motivated, compassionate, and enthusiastic Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join supportive and inclusive primary schools. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates who are passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people while developing hands-on experience within education and SEND settings.
The Role
As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) within the classroom and around the school.
- Work alongside teachers and SENCOs to deliver targeted interventions and personalised learning support.
- Help pupils build confidence, independence, and engagement in their learning.
- Support students' social, emotional, and behavioural development.
- Gain invaluable experience working with children who may have Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language needs, or other additional needs.
- Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
We Are Looking For Graduates Who:
- Hold a degree in Psychology, Education, Childhood Studies, Sociology, Criminology, Sports Science, or a related subject (all degree backgrounds are welcome).
- Have a genuine interest in supporting children and young people with additional needs.
- Demonstrate patience, empathy, resilience, and strong communication skills.
- Are considering a future career in teaching, educational psychology, counselling, therapy, or social work.
- Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
- Are committed to helping every child reach their full potential.
