At Parker Smith Inclusion, we are working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in South East London seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate who wants hands-on experience supporting students both inside and outside the classroom, while developing the skills and confidence needed for a future career in education.
The Role
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support students across a range of subjects, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and achieve their potential.
You will work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to provide academic and emotional support, ensuring students feel engaged and successful throughout the school day.
In addition to classroom support, you have the opportunity to play an active role in the school's lunchtime sports activities, helping to run and supervise that encourage teamwork, participation, wellbeing, and positive social interaction.
This role would particularly suit graduates with an interest in education, sport, psychology, youth work, or mentoring.
What You'll Be Doing

Supporting students in lessons across a range of subjects

Delivering small-group and one-to-one interventions

Helping students remain engaged and focused on learning

Building positive relationships with young people

Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities

Supporting students with additional learning or social-emotional needs

Helping to facilitate and supervise lunchtime sports clubs and activities

Encouraging participation, teamwork, and positive behaviour during break times
