We are working with a range of fantastic schools across East London, including welcoming mainstream primary schools, diverse secondary schools, specialist SEND schools, therapeutic SEMH settings and inclusive PRUs, who are looking for Graduate SEND Teaching Assistants to support pupils on a 1:1 basis and within small groups.
This is an opportunity to gain valuable experience supporting children and young people with additional needs while developing skills that will support future careers in education, psychology, therapy and child development.
The Role
As a Graduate SEND Teaching Assistant, you may support pupils with a range of needs including:
- Autism (ASC)
- ADHD
- SEMH
- Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
- Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
- ODD
- PMLD
Your responsibilities may include:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support
- Helping pupils access learning and develop independence
- Supporting communication, emotional regulation and social development
- Building positive relationships with children and young people
- Working alongside teachers, SENCOs and wider support teams
- Supporting personalised learning strategies and interventions

- Able to build strong relationships with pupils
