Are you a recent graduate looking to start a career in education supporting students with special needs? If so, we are working with an ‘Outstanding’ all-through school based in Hayes, Hillingdon who are looking to appoint Graduate Teaching Assistants to start immediately.

 

An all-through mainstream school based in Hayes, Hillingdon are seeking to appoint Graduate Teaching Assistants to work across primary or secondary supporting students with additional needs. You will be based in mainstream classes working 1:1 or in small groups with students with Autism, ADHD and/or additional learning needs. If you are looking for a position where you can grow and gain a depth of experience across multiple settings within a school, this could be the position for you. This will be a full-time, long-term position starting immediately till the end of the academic year. The daily rate will vary between £90 to £100 depending on your experience and should you have positive feedback, there will be an opportunity to go permanent in September 2026.

 

The role: 

  • Provide 1:1 and group support to different students across either primary or secondary
  • Work with students with a range of needs including Autism, ADHD and/or additional learning needs
  • Be able to set clear boundaries within the classroom and throughout the school day
  • Work closely with Class Teachers, Therapists and the wider SEN team to aid development
  • Maintain a safe, supporting and inclusive learning environment

 

The ideal candidate:

  • Graduates who have completed their degree within the past year
  • Professional or personal experience working with special needs in some capacity
  • Patient and calm with a positive and proactive approach to learning
  • Available full-time, 5 days a week and can work from 08:30 AM to 04:00 PM
  • Reliable and committed to a long-term role where consistency is paramount
