A mainstream Secondary school in Enfield is seeking an experienced and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant ready to take on greater classroom responsibility and support students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Your Part in Their Story
- Delivering planned learning activities and interventions to individuals, small groups, and whole classes.
- Providing classroom cover and leading lessons using work prepared by teaching staff.
- Supporting students to access the curriculum and make strong academic progress.
- Delivering targeted interventions to address gaps in learning.
- Supporting positive behaviour and maintaining an engaging learning environment.
- Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff to monitor student progress.
- Encouraging independence, resilience, confidence, and positive attitudes towards learning.
What You Will Bring
- Previous HLTA experience or significant Teaching Assistant experience with additional responsibilities.
- HLTA status or a relevant equivalent qualification is desirable.
- Confidence in leading learning activities, interventions, and classroom cover.
- A good understanding of the secondary curriculum and Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive, organised, and adaptable approach.
- A genuine passion for helping young people achieve their potential.
