HLTA / Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Key Worker - Merton

Full-Time and Long-Term (Term Time Only) 

Temporary to Permanent Opportunities 

£95 - £105 per day PAYE (Depending on experience)

Do you have a passion and talent for supporting children and young people who cannot access mainstream education? Perhaps experienced in working with children and young people with medical/health conditions and mental health difficulties?

Do you have knowledge of GCSEs and Functional Skills? Maybe you are looking into a future in a clinical field such as an Art, Drama and Music Therapist, Speech and Language Therapist, Educational Psychologist, or Occupational Therapist?

I am actively seeking an engaging and passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work in a specialist setting that provides education to children who are unable to be educated in a mainstream school due to their social, emotional, and mental health needs, as well as medical conditions. I am looking to speak to professional and committed Higher Level Teaching Assistants, as the role will require dedicated educators who want to craft out a long-term role, and really immerse themselves in a school. 

HLTA / Higher Level Teaching Assistant requirements:

  • Experience of working with young people with SEMH, behavioural complexities, trauma, sensory processing, medical needs and social communication
  • HLTA, Key Worker or Tutor experience - leading small groups
  • Ability to build strong and meaningful relationships
  • A passion for working with young people with SEND

What you can expect as an HLTA - Higher Level Teaching Assistant 

  • Excellent experience, in a specialist setting, working 121 and with small groups
