HLTA – Primary School | Kingsbury, North West London | £115–£120 per day PAYE
Are you the kind of person who walks into a classroom and just gets it?
You know how to read a room, adapt on the fly, and make a child feel seen especially the ones who find school hard. You're confident leading a lesson, patient with pupils who need a little more, and the kind of colleague teachers genuinely rely on.
If that sounds like you, a wonderful primary school in Kingsbury wants to meet you.
The School
This is a school that genuinely lives its values. Inclusion isn't a buzzword here it's built into everything they do. The leadership team is supportive, the staff look out for each other, and the children are at the heart of every decision. It's the kind of place where you'll feel proud to work.
The Role
As their new HLTA, you'll be a key part of the school's support structure covering classes across KS1 and KS2 when teachers are absent, and delivering targeted interventions for pupils with SEN. You'll work closely with class teachers and the SENCO, supporting children with ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, and EHCP targets. No two days will look the same, and that's exactly what makes this role so rewarding.
Day to day, you'll be delivering pre-planned lessons across KS1 and KS2, leading small group and 1:1 interventions for pupils with additional needs, working alongside the SENCO to support EHCP targets, adapting learning materials to meet different needs, and helping create a calm, structured and engaging classroom environment.
Who This Is For
You might be an experienced HLTA looking for a school where you can really settle in and make your mark. Or you might be a highly experienced Teaching Assistant who's ready to take that next step — confident in the classroom, strong on SEN, and hungry for more responsibility. Either way, you'll need to be adaptable, warm, and genuinely passionate about inclusive education.
What You'll Get
£115–£120 per day PAYE (no umbrella companies ever), full-time, term-time only, a supportive and collaborative staff team, CPD and training in SEN and intervention delivery, and a real opportunity to grow this role has temp-to-perm potential.
Why This Role Matters
For many children with additional needs, a great HLTA is the difference between a good day and a hard one. This is a role with real purpose and a school that will recognise and value the contribution you make. If you're ready to lead learning, support some brilliant children, and join a team that genuinely cares, we'd love to hear from you.
