HLTA – Great Baddow

More than just leading a lesson.

Parker Smith Inclusion is looking for an experienced HLTA to join a specialist setting in Great Baddow, supporting primary-aged pupils with additional needs.

This role would suit an experienced HLTA, Teaching Assistant or education professional who enjoys taking responsibility while still being hands-on with pupils.

About the Role

You’ll work closely with teachers and the wider team to support learning and help pupils make progress.

The role may include:

• Leading lessons and learning activities.

• Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups.

• Covering lessons when required.

• Adapting activities around individual needs.

• Supporting behaviour and emotional regulation.

• Helping pupils develop confidence and independence.

• Working alongside teachers and other professionals.

About You

We’re looking for someone with strong experience working with children, ideally within a school environment.

You could be an experienced HLTA, an experienced SEND TA ready for the next step, or someone with relevant teaching or education experience.

Both qualified and unqualified candidates will be considered.

You’ll need to be confident, reliable and comfortable taking responsibility, while still being able to build strong relationships with pupils.
