HLTA – Primary School - SEN & Intervention Focus
Location: Kingsbury, North West London
Pay: £115–£125 per day PAYE
Contract: Full-time | Term-time only | Temp-to-permanent
Looking for a HLTA job in Kingsbury where you can lead lessons, deliver SEN interventions, and genuinely feel supported?
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Kingsbury is seeking a confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on classroom teaching experience while supporting pupils with additional needs across KS1 and KS2.
You will cover classes, deliver targeted SEN interventions, and work closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to ensure every pupil can access learning and achieve their potential.
About the role

Deliver pre-planned lessons across KS1 and KS2 during teacher absence

Lead 1:1 and small group SEN interventions

Support pupils with autism (ASC), ADHD, and speech and language needs

Work alongside the SENCO to support EHCP targets and learning plans

Adapt resources and lessons to meet a range of learning needs

Maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
Who this role suits

Qualified or experienced HLTAs with lesson cover experience

Experienced Teaching Assistants ready to step up into a HLTA role

Candidates with strong SEN, intervention, or primary school experience
