The Role
As their new Intervention HLTA, you'll be a vital part of the school's SEN and inclusion provision leading targeted interventions for pupils with additional needs and covering classes across KS1 and KS2 when needed. You'll work closely with class teachers and the SENCO, supporting children with ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, and EHCP targets. The focus of this role is on making a real, measurable difference to the pupils who need it most.
Day to day, you'll be leading small group and 1:1 interventions for pupils with additional needs, delivering pre-planned lessons across KS1 and KS2, working alongside the SENCO to support EHCP targets, adapting learning materials to meet different needs, and helping create a calm, structured and engaging environment for every learner.
Who This Is For
You might be an experienced HLTA with a strong background in SEN and intervention delivery. Or you might be a highly experienced Teaching Assistant who's ready to take that next step confident working with children with additional needs and ready to take on more responsibility. Either way, you'll need to be adaptable, warm, and genuinely passionate about helping every child make progress.
