Parker Smith Inclusion is working with a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Harlow that is looking for a caring, resilient and dedicated Intervention Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with children and wants to make a genuine difference to their learning, confidence and development.
The Role
As an Intervention LSA, you’ll provide targeted support to pupils who need additional help to access learning and develop their skills.
You’ll work with pupils both one-to-one and in small groups, delivering interventions and providing additional support where needed.
Your responsibilities will include:

Providing targeted support to pupils to help overcome barriers to learning.

Delivering interventions to support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.

Supporting children with ASD, ADHD, SEMH and challenging behaviour.

Helping pupils regulate their emotions and develop positive behaviours for learning.

Working closely with teachers and other support staff to provide consistent support.

Following individual learning and support plans.

Building positive relationships with pupils and helping them feel safe, understood and confident.

Encouraging independence, engagement and a positive attitude towards learning.
What We're Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is:

Caring, patient and genuinely passionate about supporting children.

Resilient and confident when working with challenging behaviour.

Able to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils.

A good communicator who works well as part of a wider team.

Experienced working with ASD, ADHD, SEMH or additional needs – although the right attitude and willingness to learn are just as important.
