This isn't a role where you'll be spread across five classes, covering absences, and being pulled in ten different directions before lunchtime.
This is a dedicated 1:1 Intervention LSA position, supporting SEND pupils across a mainstream primary school in Dagenham. You'll have the time, structure and support to build genuine relationships with the children you work with and see the impact of your intervention first-hand.
You'll work closely with the SENCO, class teachers and wider inclusion team to help pupils access learning, build confidence and make meaningful progress both academically and socially.
The right person won't just be supervising learning.
You'll be changing outcomes.
What you'll be doing:
- Providing dedicated 1:1 support for pupils with SEND
- Delivering targeted interventions tailored to individual needs
- Supporting emotional regulation, communication and engagement
- Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils and families
- Working collaboratively with teachers and SEN professionals
- Helping children develop the confidence to thrive within a mainstream setting
What we're looking for:
- Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, LSA, SEND TA or Support Worker
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Patience, resilience and a calm, proactive approach
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly
- Someone looking for more than just another classroom support role
