Are you a SEND Teacher that specialises in intervention style teaching? Do you want to be part of an outstanding secondary school? Would you like to finish at 1pm on a Friday?
Parker Smith Inclusion are working in partnership with a mainstream secondary school based on the Elizabeth Line that are seeking an interventions SEN Teacher. The focus of this role is to carry out 17 periods of teaching and in the other hours be supporting the SEN Team, you will be supporting a small class of students that have autism and other complex needs.
We're seeking an experienced teacher that has the confidence and inoative to work alone and also part of a team, must have strong experience with ASDAN, White Rose and other intervention modules. Must have very good rapport building skills, flexibility and a strong understanding of SEN Education to be able to represent the SEN students across the school.
Requirements;
- QTS or QTLS
- Able to commit to 5 days a week (Friday finish at 1pm)
- Strong intervention teaching skills with a specialism in autism
- DBS on the update service (ideal but if not we can process one for you)
- Right to work in the UK for 5 days a week (with no limitations or restrictions)
The Ideal Teacher;
- SEN expert with the ability to represent SEN students confidently and affectively
- Proven skills of modifying learning and subjects to meet the needs of students with ASC
- Experience of ASDAN, White Rose, Lexia and Level 1 / 2 Functional Skills.
- Flexible, pro-active, team player
