Are you a compassionate, resilient and dedicated Key Worker who is passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential? Parker Smith Inclusion is working with a highly regarded specialist SEND school seeking a committed Key Worker to support students with a range of additional needs, both academically and emotionally.

This role is ideal for someone who can build positive relationships, provide consistent support, and help students engage with learning across a variety of subjects including Maths, Science, PSHE and other curriculum areas.

About the Role

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, trauma-related needs and complex medical needs
  • Support students in accessing learning across the curriculum, including Maths, Science, PSHE and other subjects
  • Build positive, trusting relationships to promote engagement, confidence and emotional wellbeing
  • Implement personalised support strategies to meet individual learning, behavioural and emotional needs
  • Support students with behaviour regulation, emotional resilience and social development
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, pastoral teams and families to ensure a consistent and holistic approach to support
  • Encourage independence, self-esteem and positive outcomes both inside and outside the classroom
  • Celebrate progress and achievements, no matter how small

What We're Looking For

  • Someone patient, empathetic and passionate about supporting young people
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND, including Autism, SEMH, trauma-related needs and/or medical needs
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Confidence supporting learning across a range of curriculum subjects
  • A positive role model who can motivate, encourage and inspire students
  • The ability to remain calm, adaptable and solution-focused in challenging situations
  • A team player who can collaborate effectively with colleagues and professionals
