Are you a qualified teacher with a passion for supporting children with social, emotional and mental health needs?
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated SEMH Teacher to join a specialist provision in Thurrock, teaching pupils at Year 6 level across the provision.
This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about making a genuine difference to the lives and educational outcomes of young people.
The Role
Teaching Year 6 level across the provision
Supporting pupils with SEMH needs and additional barriers to learning
Planning and delivering engaging and appropriately differentiated lessons
Creating a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment
Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
Working closely with support staff and other professionals
Supporting pupils to develop confidence, independence and positive attitudes towards learning
The position is available on either a temporary to permanent basis or as a permanent appointment, with an ASAP start available.
The Ideal Candidate
You must be a qualified teacher with QTS.
You will ideally have experience working with pupils with SEMH or SEN needs, although a strong understanding of behaviour management, inclusion and differentiated teaching will also be highly valued.
We are looking for someone who is calm, patient, resilient and consistent, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils who may have experienced challenges within education.
You will need to be confident teaching at Year 6 level and able to adapt your approach to meet the individual needs of pupils across the provision.
