Parker Smith Inclusion is working in partnership with a warm, inclusive and forward-thinking SEND school in Witham, seeking a Learning Facilitator to join their team from January.

This role supports primary-aged pupils (5–11 years) with a range of additional needs, including SEMH, ASC, ADHD and SLD. Pupils are supported through a combination of 1:1 intervention and general classroom support within small classes of approximately five pupils.

The school also delivers Forest School learning, providing pupils with enriching outdoor experiences that promote emotional regulation, confidence and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored 1:1 support for pupils with SEMH, ASC, ADHD and SLD
  • Support class teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
  • Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing and independence
  • Assist pupils during Forest School sessions and outdoor learning activities
  • Help maintain a calm, structured and nurturing learning environment
  • Work collaboratively as part of a supportive and dedicated staff team

About You

  • Experience supporting children with SEND is desirable but not essential
  • Calm, patient and empathetic in your approach
  • Able to build strong, positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
  • Confident supporting behaviour, emotional needs and learning
  • Adaptable, proactive and keen to develop your skills
  • Passionate about making a meaningful difference in a specialist setting
