Pay: £90–£105 per day (PAYE)
Hours: Full-time, term-time only
Contract: Temp-to-perm or permanent

We are working in partnership with a warm and inclusive SEND school in Harlow and are seeking a Learning Mentor to start as soon as possible. This full-time, term-time only role involves supporting primary-aged pupils with a range of additional needs, including SEMH, ASC, ADHD and SLD.

You will provide both 1:1 and classroom-based support, helping pupils to access learning, regulate their emotions and develop independence within a structured and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored 1:1 support to pupils with SEND

  • Support class teachers in delivering inclusive, engaging lessons

  • Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing and independence

  • Support pupils during classroom activities and outdoor learning sessions

  • Help to maintain a calm, structured and supportive learning environment

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and other support staff

About You

  • Experience supporting children with SEND is desirable, but not essential

  • Calm, patient and empathetic in your approach

  • Able to build strong, positive relationships with pupils and colleagues

  • Confident in supporting behaviour, emotional needs and learning

  • Adaptable, proactive and keen to develop your skills

  • Passionate about making a positive difference within a SEND setting
