We are working in partnership with a warm and inclusive SEND school in Harlow and are seeking a Learning Mentor to start as soon as possible. This full-time, term-time only role involves supporting primary-aged pupils with a range of additional needs, including SEMH, ASC, ADHD and SLD.
You will provide both one-to-one and classroom-based support, helping pupils to access learning, regulate their emotions and develop independence within a structured and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored one-to-one support for pupils with SEND
- Support class teachers in delivering inclusive and engaging lessons
- Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing and independence
- Support pupils during classroom activities and outdoor learning sessions
- Help to maintain a calm, structured and supportive learning environment
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and other support staff
About You
- Experience supporting children with SEND is desirable, but not essential
- Calm, patient and empathetic in your approach
- Able to build strong, positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
- Confident supporting behaviour, emotional needs and learning
- Adaptable, proactive and keen to develop your skills
- Passionate about making a positive difference within a SEND setting
