Learning Mentor – Harlow

£100–£120 per day | PAYE | Long-term opportunity

Parker Smith Inclusion are currently recruiting for a Learning Mentor to join a well-established PRU in Harlow. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people who may have struggled within mainstream education and wants to make a genuine difference to their engagement, confidence and behaviour.

The setting supports primary and secondary-aged pupils with SEMH needs, providing a structured but nurturing environment where strong relationships are at the heart of the work. The school is part of an Outstanding-rated Multi-Academy Trust and offers a supportive, close-knit team environment.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced working with SEMH, challenging behaviour or vulnerable young people
  • Confident managing challenging situations with a calm and consistent approach
  • Naturally empathetic, patient and relationship-focused
  • Able to build trust with pupils who may be disengaged from education
  • Resilient and able to maintain clear boundaries
  • Passionate about helping young people re-engage, develop confidence and achieve their potential

Previous experience within a PRU, SEMH school, youth work, care, sports coaching, residential setting or similar environment would be highly beneficial.
