We are working with a warm, inclusive SEND school in Harlow, seeking a Learning Support Assistant to start as soon as possible. This is a full-time, term-time only role, supporting primary-aged pupils with a range of additional needs, including SEMH, ASC, ADHD and SLD.
You will provide 1:1 and classroom support, helping pupils access learning, regulate their emotions, and build independence in a structured and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 support to pupils with SEND
- Assist class teachers in delivering inclusive and engaging lessons
- Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and independence
- Support pupils during classroom activities and outdoor learning sessions
- Help create a calm, structured, and supportive learning environment
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff
About You
- Experience supporting children with SEND is desirable but not essential
- Calm, patient, and empathetic
- Able to build strong relationships with pupils and colleagues
- Confident supporting behaviour, emotional needs, and learning
- Adaptable, proactive, and eager to develop your skills
- Passionate about making a positive difference in a SEND setting
