Parker Smith Inclusion is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to support children with autism, ADHD and additional needs in a mainstream primary school in Havering.
You'll help children take part in lessons, manage emotions, build confidence and develop independence. Support will include 1:1 and small-group work, adapting activities and working alongside teachers to meet each child's needs.
Who would suit this role?
You don't necessarily need school experience. A background in a nursery, childcare, sports coaching, care or youth work could be just as relevant.
We're looking for someone who's patient, energetic and adaptable, enjoys working with children and can stay calm when things don't go to plan. Being able to build trust and find different ways to engage children is key.
The school offers a supportive team, CPD opportunities and the potential for a permanent position.
