📍 Chelmsford
💰 Actual Salary: £22,000 – £24,500 (Term-Time Only)
🕓 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Parker Smith Inclusion are proud to be working in partnership with a specialist SEMH, ASC and ADHD school in Chelmsford. The school is seeking permanent Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join their dedicated and highly supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs, helping them to reach their full potential in both their learning and personal development.
🌳 About the School
Set within 11 acres of beautiful grounds, the school offers a truly unique learning environment. In addition to classroom-based learning, students regularly take part in Forest School sessions and a wide range of outdoor learning activities, designed to build confidence, independence, and teamwork.
All students have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), and the school caters specifically for children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH), Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and ADHD.
Class sizes are deliberately small, with just 6 students per class, supported by a Teacher, a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) and a Learning Support Assistant (LSA), ensuring that each child receives tailored support in a calm and structured environment.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
-
Support students on a 1:1 and small group basis, helping them to engage with learning and manage their emotions and behaviour.
-
Work collaboratively with teachers, HLTAs and other LSAs to deliver creative and accessible learning opportunities.
-
Promote positive behaviour and encourage the development of social and emotional skills.
-
Contribute to the wider school community, including participating in outdoor learning and Forest School activities.
-
Build meaningful relationships with students, acting as a positive role model and trusted adult.
This is a term-time only role, working 8:30am to 3:30pm, making it ideal for those seeking a healthy work-life balance within a rewarding educational environment.
