Learning Support Assistant – ASAP Start
Based in Southend | £90–£105 per day PAYE | Full-Time | Term Time Only
Parker Smith Inclusion are working closely with a warm and inclusive group of primary schools in Southend, and we are currently seeking a dedicated and empathetic Learning Support Assistant to join the team.
This is a full-time, term-time only position (Monday to Friday), supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). The role includes 1:1 support as well as assisting more broadly within KS1 classroom environments.
About the Role:
- Providing tailored 1:1 support to pupils with ASD and ADHD
- Assisting the class teacher in delivering an inclusive and engaging learning environment
- Supporting the emotional, social, and academic development of pupils
- Encouraging independence and helping pupils develop confidence in and out of the classroom
- Promoting positive behaviour and maintaining a nurturing, consistent approach
About You:
- Experience working with children, particularly those with additional needs, is advantageous
- Patient, calm and caring, with a passion for supporting children with SEND
- Able to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
- A team player who is proactive and adaptable to the needs of the school
- Keen to grow professionally – this could be a fantastic first step into a career in education or SEN support
The Offer:
- Full-time position, Monday to Friday (term time only)
- £90–£105 per day, depending on experience (via PAYE)
