In this role, you will work closely with the pupil throughout the school day, offering consistent one-to-one support to help them access learning, understand expectations and develop important social and emotional skills. The pupil benefits from clear routines, gentle boundaries, and a calm, understanding approach, and you will play a vital role in creating a positive, nurturing learning environment where they can thrive.

Help establish and maintain clear routines, structure and boundaries to support focus and emotional regulation
-
Encourage positive behaviour through reassurance, empathy and consistent expectations
-
Support the development of social skills, confidence and independence throughout the school day
-
Provide support during transitions and less structured times in a calm, reassuring manner
-
Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider support team to implement strategies that meet the pupil’s individual needs
About You
-
You have a caring, patient and empathetic nature and genuinely enjoy working with children
-
Experience supporting children with additional needs, including ASD and ADHD, is desirable but not essential
-
You understand the importance of consistency, routine and clear communication
-
You are flexible, resilient and able to adapt to the pupil’s needs as they arise
-
You work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with teachers and support staff
-
You are passionate about helping children feel valued, understood and capable of achieving their full potential
