In this role, you will work closely with the pupil throughout the school day, offering consistent one-to-one support to help them access learning, understand expectations and develop key social and emotional skills. The pupil responds well to clear routines, gentle boundaries and a calm, understanding approach, and you will play a vital role in creating a positive, nurturing environment in which they can thrive.

Encourage positive behaviour through reassurance, empathy and consistent expectations
-
Support the development of social skills, confidence and independence throughout the school day
-
Provide calm and reassuring support during transitions and less structured periods
-
Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider support team to implement effective, individualised strategies
About You
-
You are caring, patient and empathetic, with a genuine passion for working with children
-
Experience supporting children with additional needs, including ASD and ADHD, is desirable but not essential
-
You understand the importance of consistency, routine and clear communication
-
You are flexible, resilient and able to adapt to the pupil’s needs as they change
-
You work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with teaching and support staff
-
You are committed to helping children feel valued, understood and capable of achieving their full potential
