Learning Support Assistant - Hillingdon
£90 to £100 per day PAYE
Monday to Friday, 08:30 AM to 04:00 PM

I am working alongside a mainstream primary school based in Hillingdon who are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to aid the learning and development of students with Autism and those who may present challenging behaviours.
About the school:
This is a mainstream primary school based in Hillingdon known locally for their inclusive practice and aid for students with special needs. Having received increase of students that present high needs that come from vulnerable backgrounds, they are looking for additional support across all their classes.

About the Learning Support Assistant role:
You will play a vital role in supporting both the learning and development of new students who have recently joined the school. All of which will have ECHP’s with a primary diagnosis of Autism.
The role involves:
- Working in a 1:1 setting both in and out of the classroom
- Supporting students with a primary diagnosis in Autism and/or additional learning needs
- Implementing strategies to aid behaviours and manage dysregulation
- Focusing on developing social skills of students
- Working in line with an adapted curriculum tailored to the needs of the individual students
- Creating a calm, inclusive classroom environment
Who this role suits:
This role would suit a Learning Support Assistant who:
- Proven experience in either a professional or personal setting working with young people with Autism and/or additional learning needs
- Comfortable managing challenging behaviours and supporting dysregulation effectively
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt to meet the needs of each student
- A calm, patient, and resilient personality, with a commitment to maintaining professional boundaries
