Role: Learning Support Assistant
Location: Greenwich
Full-time Permanent Position
Salary - £20,496.00 - £26.072.00
Some roles change a child’s day, this role can change a child’s life.
Every young person who walks through the doors of this school has their own unique story. Many have experienced challenges that most adults would struggle to navigate such as trauma, interrupted education, and the feeling that school simply isn’t a place where they belong.
Your role is to help rewrite their story and show them how much ability they have.
Here at Parker Smith Inclusion, we are looking for a compassionate, resilient and dedicated individual who believes that every child deserves someone who won’t give up on them.
This isn’t just about supporting learning. It’s about building trust where trust has been broken. It’s about celebrating the achievements that others might overlook, this could be the first time a student stays in class, the first time they ask for help, the first time they believe they can succeed.
At this school, relationships come first. You will work closely with students who need consistent, calm and empathetic support to help them engage with education and develop confidence in themselves.
Who we’re looking for
The most important thing you bring is heart.
Experience supporting children or young people is valuable, but what truly matters is your ability to connect, empathise and remain patient when things are tough.
You might come from backgrounds such as teaching assistant or learning support assistant positions, youth work or mentoring, psychology or education graduates, behaviour supported roles or care/support work.
If you’re the type of person who believes that every child deserves to see the possibilities of what they can achieve, this could be the role for you.
