Parker Smith Inclusion is working with a small, welcoming rural primary school in Colchester that is looking for a caring and committed Learning Support Assistant to join their team.

The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll work alongside the class teacher and wider school team to help pupils get the most from their day.
Depending on the needs of the school and pupils, you'll provide support across the classroom, in small groups and on a 1:1 basis.
Your role could include:
- Supporting pupils with their learning and development
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support
- Helping pupils stay focused and engaged in lessons
- Adapting activities and resources to support individual needs
- Encouraging independence and confidence
- Supporting pupils with their social, emotional and behavioural development
- Building positive, trusting relationships with children
- Working closely with teachers and other support staff
- Helping create a calm, positive and inclusive classroom
- Celebrating progress and helping children recognise their achievements
What We're Looking For
You don't necessarily need to have worked in a school before.
We're interested in people who have the right attitude, personality and approach.
You could be an experienced Learning Support Assistant or Teaching Assistant, or you might have experience working with children, young people, care, youth work, coaching or support work.
