Parker Smith Inclusion is working with a small, welcoming rural primary school in Colchester looking for a caring and committed Learning Support Assistant to join their team.
This is a close-knit school where relationships, inclusion and helping children become confident and independent learners really matter.
About the Role
You’ll work alongside the class teacher and wider school team to support pupils across the classroom, in small groups and on a 1:1 basis.
Your role could include:

Supporting pupils with their learning and development

Providing 1:1 and small-group support

Helping pupils stay focused and engaged

Adapting activities to meet individual needs

Supporting social, emotional and behavioural development

Encouraging independence and confidence
-
Building positive relationships with children

Helping create a calm, positive and inclusive classroom
About You
You don’t necessarily need previous school experience. We’re more interested in your attitude, personality and approach.
You could have experience as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant, or come from care, youth work, coaching, support work or another child-focused background.
