Every child has their own way of learning.
We’re looking for a Learning Support Assistant in Witham to work with pupils who may need additional support with learning, communication, behaviour and independence.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to build experience within SEND and make a difference to children who benefit from a more individual approach.
About the Role
Working alongside teaching staff, you’ll help pupils feel settled and supported throughout the school day.
Your role could involve:
-
Supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small-group basis.
-
Helping children communicate their needs.
-
Supporting learning through practical and engaging activities.
-
Encouraging independence and life skills.
-
Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
-
Creating trusting relationships with pupils.
About You
We’re ideally looking for someone who has worked with children or young people before.
That could be in education, childcare, care, youth work, residential support, sports or another people-focused role.
SEND experience is a bonus, but personality matters too. You’ll need to be patient, consistent and comfortable adapting your approach depending on the child.
