Parker Smith Inclusion is working with a school in Chelmsford looking for a caring and reliable Learning Support Assistant / SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team.

About the Role

You'll support pupils with SEND and additional needs, helping them access learning, build confidence and get the most out of their time in school.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support.

  • Helping pupils with classroom activities and learning.

  • Supporting communication and social development.

  • Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation.

  • Building trusting relationships with pupils.

  • Working closely with teachers and other support staff.

About You

You might already have experience working in a school, or you could be looking to move into SEND from another background.

Experience in care, childcare, youth work, mentoring, coaching or support work would be useful, and transferable skills are welcomed.
