Parker Smith Inclusion is recruiting Learning Support Assistants for schools in Havering and the surrounding areas. If you enjoy working with children and want a role where you can make a genuine difference, we'd love to hear from you.

You don't necessarily need years of school experience. The right attitude, reliability and willingness to learn can go a long way.

About the role

You'll work alongside teachers and other school staff to help pupils get the most out of their school day.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support.

• Helping pupils access lessons and classroom activities.

• Supporting learning, communication and social development.

• Encouraging confidence and independence.

• Helping pupils manage their emotions and behaviour.

• Supporting classroom routines and day-to-day activities.

• Building positive relationships with pupils and staff.

Every pupil is different, so being patient, flexible and ready to adapt your approach is important.

Who would suit this role?

Previous school or SEND experience is useful, but isn't essential for every opportunity.

Your background might include:

• Teaching or Learning Support Assistant work.

• Nursery or childcare experience.

• Youth work or mentoring.

• Care or support work.

• Sports coaching or other roles involving children and young people.

We're looking for people who are approachable, dependable and genuinely interested in helping children develop. Experience supporting pupils with SEND, autism, ADHD, SEMH or behavioural needs would also be beneficial.
