Are you passionate about helping young people achieve their full potential? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) / Cover Supervisor to join our supportive team.
This is a dual role where you will support pupils with a range of needs both in class and on a 1:1 basis, while also stepping up as a Cover Supervisor when required to deliver pre-prepared lessons in the absence of the class teacher.

What you’ll do
As a Learning Support Assistant:

Support pupils with additional needs in class, small groups, or 1:1

Assist with delivering tailored interventions and strategies

Encourage and motivate pupils to engage in learning

Promote inclusion and positive behaviour within the classroom

Work collaboratively with teachers and the SENCO to support individual needs

Provide feedback on pupils’ progress and well-being

Liaise with staff, parents, and external agencies as required
As a Cover Supervisor:

Supervise classes during teacher absence, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment

Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and instructions
-
Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

Provide feedback to teachers on class engagement and outcomes

Act as a Form Tutor when required

Good organisational and classroom management skills
Desirable:

Previous experience in a school or youth work setting

Knowledge of strategies to support pupils with SEN

Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification)
