Location: Harlow
Salary: £95–£110 per day (PAYE) – term-time only
Contract: Temp-to-Perm
Are you someone who genuinely cares about supporting children with additional needs? Do you want to go home each day knowing you’ve made a real difference? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
We’re delighted to be working alongside a welcoming and supportive SEND school in Harlow, who are looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team. This is a fantastic chance to become part of a setting where every child is valued, understood, and encouraged to thrive.
About the Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you’ll play an important role in helping pupils with a variety of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and behaviours that may be challenging at times.
You’ll be working closely with teachers, therapists, and other staff to create a calm, structured, and nurturing environment where pupils feel safe and supported. Your day-to-day support will help students grow in confidence, develop independence, and make progress both academically and socially.
This is more than just a job — it’s an opportunity to build meaningful connections and positively impact young lives every single day.
Even better, this role offers a clear pathway from a temporary position into a permanent role, giving you stability and the chance to grow your career within a supportive school community.
What We’re Looking For
We’re searching for someone who is kind, patient, and truly passionate about helping children succeed. You don’t need to be perfect — but you do need to care.
Ideally, you will have:
- Experience working in a SEND setting or supporting children with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or complex needs (this is highly desirable)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
- A calm, flexible approach and the ability to adapt to each child’s individual needs
- A positive attitude, resilience, and a genuine desire to make a difference
What’s in It for You?
- Competitive daily pay based on your experience
- Ongoing training and development to help you grow in your role
- A friendly, inclusive school environment where your work is appreciated
- Clear progression opportunities, including the potential to secure a permanent position
If you’re looking for a rewarding role where every day brings new challenges, small wins, and meaningful moments, we’d love to hear from you.
