Parker Smith Inclusion is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to support children with autism, ADHD and additional needs in a mainstream primary school in Havering.
You'll be working alongside teachers to help children get the most out of their school day. This will involve supporting them in lessons, helping them manage their emotions, building confidence and encouraging independence.
Support will include 1:1 and small-group work, adapting activities and finding different ways to help children engage with learning.
Who would suit this role?
You don't necessarily need previous school experience. A background in nursery work, childcare, sports coaching, care or youth work could be just as relevant.
We're looking for someone patient, energetic and adaptable who enjoys working with children and can stay calm when things don't go to plan.
Being able to build trust, think on your feet and find different ways to engage children is important.
