We're working with a specialist SEMH school in Barnet looking for an experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team this September.
The school provides a therapeutic, structured environment where pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs are supported to rebuild confidence, develop positive relationships and successfully engage with learning. Staff are well supported and work closely together to achieve the best outcomes for every young person.
Your role:
✅ Support pupils with SEMH needs across the school
✅ Work 1:1 and with small groups
✅ Help pupils regulate emotions and engage with learning
✅ Build positive, trusting relationships
✅ Support behaviour, routines and structure throughout the school day
✅ Work closely with teachers, pastoral staff and the wider support team
We're looking for someone who:
✔ Has previous school-based experience
✔ Has SEMH or behaviour support experience
✔ Is calm, resilient and consistent
✔ Can confidently support pupils with challenging behaviour
✔ Has a genuine passion for helping young people succeed
